GARDEN COMPETITION WINNERS

After an exhaustive review of the 17 entries Flemings have chosen the three winners for this year’s Waterford Ride Garden competition.

Judged on the same day in November at the end of Spring the gardens looked at their very best.

The gardens were judged on 7 criteria: 

Design, Plant selection, Plant condition, Creativity, Colour, Neatness and  Sustainability. 

The winners are:

1. Margaret Phillips – 23 Hillgrove Close
1. The judges said “we loved the front garden brick retaining wall with the Weeping Cherry"
2. Jack Dean and Emily Famulara – 25  Limestone Court

The judge said “The garden blends into the house!  It is a basic but well executed design with clever use of low maintenance plants" 

3. Sue Steendam – 18 Highvale rise

The judges said: “Great grass, the standard roses give great colour and it is well presented"
