The Wonderfully Diverse Waterford Rise

March 6, 2019

Waterford Rise is a wonderfully diverse community with 35% of the residents born overseas.

This is more than the Warragul population that has just 18% of all people born overseas (Census 2016).

The Waterford Rise melting pot features people from India, Sri Lanka, UK, Mauritius, Fiji, NZ, Romania and the Philippines.

In addition, more than 50% of buyers in the past two years have come from metro Melbourne with the most popular suburbs being Pakenham, Berwick, Narre Warren, Office and Cranbourne.

And the 41% of buyers in this period where buying their first home based on larger blocks, lower prices and the $20,000 Region FHB Grant as an added incentive.

This has attracted a new wave of young people living, working and community from Warragul with the largest group of people buying aged from 25-34 (36%) followed by 35-49 (32%).

And 75% of buyers have families of 3 or more!

These age groups are also keen on the local education system with more than 50% of them families with children in pre-school right through to tertiary education.

And the good news is that they love living in Waterford Rise so much they are inviting all their friends and family along too!
